PRAYER REQUESTS My friend,
Have you ever asked yourself the question, 'Where do I go from here?' I've thought about that question since we celebrated Passover at my girlfriend's house. Can you imagine it? We've eaten in haste...fled the land...and are now located somewhere in the Wilderness with the anticpation of getting to the PROMISELAND!
That is such an illustration of my life and passion at Mylonn Ministries during this very moment. We are on the move! I like to think that Callaway Gardens is somewhat a picture of the PROMISELAND for us! Oh...but what about the journey in between?
Well, I'm glad you are thinking about it now. Exodus is such a great story and book! However, have you read the book of Numbers lately? Well, I'm there and talk about a journey! Last night, I sat down reading the first four chapters. I've read it lots of times, but last night the words were jumping off the pages. It begins by stating that it was the first day of the second month in the second year.
Immediately, I crack up! Talk about EVENT PLANNING! Moses even marks the calendar. Then, begins by taking a census. He is numbering the congregation, writing down the names of men, registering the companies, establishing order and issuing specific tasks. He has established Dan at the North, Judah marching out front toward the East, Ephraim at the west and finally Reuben at the South. Hey, that sounds like our registration!!! Right now, we've got women coming in from TX, AL, MS, LA, TN, NC, SC, FL and GA.
Yet, the story doesn't end with chapter four. There are a lot of responsibilities and things that take place in between. Everyone helps in sharing the load. Just take a look at what Gershon, Kohath and Merari get to do. Besides, did you know that Moses used COLOR CODING? He did! I was amazed. He used solid blue and scarlet for specific jobs and tasks. Read it for yourself in chapter four.
Finally, my passage last night ended with 'AND THAT'S THE STORY OF THEIR NUMBERING.' I love it! Don't you just love how that statement invites you to keep reading? If that's the story of their numbering...what's next?
In closing, you are probably asking yourself a lot of questions. For example: WHY in this world is she writing me this? Earlier, I mentioned that there were a lot of stages throughout the journey. Everyone has something to do in planning this event for us to arrive at Callaway Gardens on October 10-12, 2008. That's our calendar date. However, there are preparations throughout the journey. Yet, everyone can help share in this load. How? Through prayer. WE NEED LOTS OF PRAYER.
1. Pray for our Speakers. 2. Pray for our Staff at Callaway. 3. Pray for our Volunteers. 4. Pray for our Vendors. 5. Pray for our Group Leaders. 6. Pray for our Individual WOMEN! 7. Pray for our Registrations and a FULL Retreat. 8. Pray for our Administration. 9. Pray for ME.
I love you all so much. I can hardly wait to read the rest of Numbers. Yet, I also can't wait for the next generation of women to read what God has done, is doing and going to do in and through us at Mylonn Ministries. We are women ministering to women. I need you!
